Opportunity For Emcees
Hiphopgame.com and Young Chris are providing an opportunity to emcees as well as giving themselves and the winning emcee some exposure. Follow the link to enter the contest. It ends August 1st, so you better hurry. They are providing a beat, asking rappers to spit a 16 to it, and then the hottest verse will become a collaboration with Young Chris, and will be posted online. Good Luck!! Heres the link!!
O’Reilly Vs Nas
In the midst of this feud, I found the lyrics to “Sly Fox”. I’ve pasted the 2nd & 3rd verse below. Lyrical mastery
[Verse 2:NaS]
The Fear Factor got you all rattled up
O’ Reilly
Oh really?
No rally needed
I’ll tie you up
Network for child predators, settin’ ‘em up
Myspace pimps, hoes, and sluts
Ya’ll exploit rap culture, then ya’ll flip on us
And you own the post, and ya’ll xxxx on us
What is they net worth?
They gon’ try to censor my next verse?
Throw ‘em off the roof neck first
While I’m clicking my cursor
Reading blogs about the pressure they put on Universal
It gets worse while I’m clicking my mouse
While they kickin’ my house
They figured us out
Why a nigga go south
It’s either he caught a body, no sleep they watchin’!
I watch CBS
And I See B.S.!
Tryin’ to track us down with GPS
Make a nigga wanna invest in PBS
[Verse 3:NaS]
They say I’m all about murder-murder and kill-kill
But what about Grindhouse and Kill Bill?
What about Cheney and Halliburton? (Halliburton?)
The backdoor deals
On oil fields
How’s NaS the most violent person?
Ya’ll don’t know talent if it hit you
Bringin’ up my criminal possession charges with a pistol (pistol)
I use Viacom
As my firearm
And let the lyrics split you
Who do you rely upon?
They shoot shells at Leviathan
I’m dealing with the higher form
F**k if you care how I write a poem?
Only Fox that I love was the red one
Only black man that Fox loves is in jail or a dead one!
Red rum
Political bedlam
Don’t let the hype into your eyes and ear drum
Murdoch on Fox
Not 18 with Barracas
And he hate Barack cause
He march with the marchers
Hometown Love
What up to all my Rockford, IL family?? Hip hop to the death!! We’re coming to Rockford, the Prologue Mixtapes are circulating the streets now. I’ll be pumping a few thousand more into the streets when I come back next month.
Look out for upcoming bookings in the Rockford area later this thyear
My word to Rockford…1st, theres violence and barfights in every city, but its more frequent in Rockford. Do you think that is because of hip hop, or because Rockford is a dead end city, as exhibited by consistently being ranked one of the 50 worst cities in America by Money Magazine. I love Rockford, and Roscoe (the small town I was raised in bordering Rockford), but its obvious why a person like me has to move away to find success. The people of Rockford aren’t trying to foster success for its rising stars. If theres too much violence, lets find away around it. U heard it from me first…as the city continues to try and shut down/silence Hip Hop in Rockford, it will continue to swell and attract rebels at a much faster rate, and the problem will eventually burst from the pressure. Can anyone explain to me how there is not even one hour of hip hop music or even modern R&B music within the Radio Dial in Rockford, a city that boasts over 150,000 residents, and over 250,000 in Winnebago County. Look at this video below:
